Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that extends outdoor dining permanently in New Jersey.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the continued use of outdoor equipment such as tents, canopies, umbrellas, tables, and chairs for outdoor dining at food businesses first allowed to use these items under a temporary license first granted in February 2021, and set to expire on November 30, 2024 (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that businesses that currently have a temporary expansion permit issued by the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control can now have it converted to a permanent permit, which will be renewable every year at the discretion of local officials (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Govenor (Sec. 10).
