• Increases penalties for certain blight offenders in Michigan to the following (Sec. 4q):

• For a first violation, the individual is responsible for a state civil infraction and may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $500.00;

• For a second violation, the individual is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 93 days or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both; and

• For a third or subsequent violation, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor and be imprisoned for not more than 1 year and fined $500.00.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 4q).
