Title: Prohibits Police from Hog-Tying Suspects
Vote to amend and pass a bill that prohibits police from hog-tying suspects in Washington.
Prohibits police from hog-tying suspects in Washington (Sec. 1-2).
Defines “hog-tie” or “hog-tying” as fastening together, bound, or restrained ankles to bound or restrained wrists (Sec. 2).
Exempts transport chains or wrist chains or the use of a product that does not require bound or restrained ankles to be fastened together to bound or restrained wrists from the definition of hog-tying (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
